Reading in a Bookstore

Books in Color

Sometimes, books written by Black, indigenous, and other people of color are hard to come by in mainstream literature. Books In Color is a program that promotes books written by Black, indigenous,  and other people of color; that also feature stories and characters about the same. By providing this diverse literature, children will be enabled to make positive associations with their own identity, explore cultures different from their own, and build community unity and inclusivity.

You can choose to sponsor one child or many children with your contribution; that will be added to one of our FREE book fairs.

How it Works

  • $5 will get you one board or picture book (pre-k – elementary)

  • $10 will get you one intermediate chapter book (middle school)

  • $15 will get you one young adult or graphic novel (High School – adult)

With your support as a one-time or recurring donor, your efforts will be vital in assisting B.L.A.C.K. 2 LIFE in providing free books, promoting literacy, and elevating the community. Thank you for helping us change the world by opening the minds and hearts of children all over the world.
