I believe we're currently seen as a labor intensive community that can be good worker bees but getting a seat at the table is very limited. Our culture picked and prodded at, but no true intentions to provide credit, only for the benefits of others other than blacks. Others are okay with us until we speak up to voice opinions or ask for equal share that is contrary to their thinking which then makes us a threat, and pushes is to be more marginalized
I think we (Black people) are seen as more of a commodity than a people or a culture. That’s why Black people notice there is a difference in how we are treated and viewed whether it be the law, the workplace or mainstream society. With this marginalized view of Black people and European norms being the standard by which this society prides itself on, African culture is only to be celebrated as entertainment and not respected as a way of life.

I 100% agree with you Cola, overall I see a lack of true respect for black culture and heritage. We have to be the ones to turn that around though.
I think everyone loves black culture and wants us to entertain them but has issues when it comes to black people wanting to have a voice and equality.
